Ahoy 2012!

Prologue: Yup. Definitely only the element of casual nonchalant can actually make my laptop speaker splutter to life. How random.

The very first post on the very first day of the year 2012! What has the year 2012 installed for all of us? Is it going to be the very final year of humanity as predicted by the ludicrous plot line of Mayan Calendar in the disaster movie 2012? (I got this joke online: if they weren't massacred by those Spaniard Conquistadors, they would've finish the calendar. LOL. Get real, armageddon-phobia idiot.) Most importantly however, what will happen to me for the next 365 days for the year 2012? A new page for the new adventure of a new year unfolds right in front of our eyes...

Meanwhile, today's Google Doodle to mark the beginning of a new year. It's all about New Year Resolution: learning foreign language, get fit, yoga, pick up a new music instrument and what not. What about mine? Let me think about it...

The exact moment at 12 midnight and where was I? In my own room, staring into my laptop screening checking out everybody else's well wishes as I am working on an impromptu side income work and someone around the neighbourhood (Sungai Dua) has some fun with firework. Last job of the year 2011, first submission of the year 2012.

Oh well, at least I downloaded the annual caustic lampoon fest of 2011Wipe by Charlie Brooker. Sure, I blew the remainder of my Yes4G bandwidth even though it's only halfway through the month and it was the result of a momentary lapse of judgment but at the end of the day, it was worth it somewhat. Oh that was also the time in which my random nonchalant poke splutter my laptop speaker to live so I did manage to watch it with sound. Hurrah! Though what happened next as I left it idle and went out for dinner is totally unexpected: it become nonresponsive. You old, weary lappie.
Today's Sunday and the very 1st day of the year. Where should I go? Should I venture out and explore? Stay tuned for more update! (If there's any.)

-So there's a lilbit more extra update. Just a lilbit though-

In the end, I did went to Georgetown. Still a watered down plan though because didn't have the patience to wait for the CAT bus to come. Plus, it's weekend which means RapidPenang's service will be pushed to the limit. Immigrant workers. Immigrant workers everywhere.

Went to Times Square Penang...

...and had lunch over Face to Face Noodle House. (面对面). Minced meat Pan Mee. Add in a generous amount of dried chilli powder thing that they serve (that round container at the top right corner of this picture) just to get the extra kick. Meanwhile, red sliced chilli in vinegar~~

As I said earlier, lost patience (gosh what's with my ebbing patience these days) waiting for CAT bus hence marched over to 1st Avenue for my usual RotiBoy again before marching back to the bus terminal to catch the next bus back. Crowded.
That's how I spent the first day of the year 2012. How "productive" indeed. Meanwhile, tomorrow's a public holiday still. Should I go anywhere?

Epilogue: Another thing that bids farewell as 2011 draws to a close: USMhotspot, overshadowed by its newer sibling of USMSecure and USMwireless. USMSecure still refuses to cooperate with me but no worries, USMwireless is here! I dread to visit Pusat Komputer as they were quite inept as technician anyway.
