.........and it is still lesser known in Malaysia because it has much more symbolism to the people of East Malaysia than the Penisulars.........
Its Malaysia day, the day when Sarawak and Sabah entered the Federation of Malaysia.......
We are indeed much better off during our early days. We enjoyed growth and development, we enjoy significant level of autonomy and we lives in peace and harmony considering the diversity of our people and land..........but are we good enough?
What happen to our people which is always considered as secondary (bumiputra or not) compared to the peninsulars?
What happen to our natural wealth that we have no shares of?
What will happen to us when the influence of peninsular edge off our core values? The one that make us unique?
I am proud to be a Sarawakian, cos i am proud to be a part of the diversity here......and that's why i have questions........
To all Sabahan and Sarawakian, Happy Malaysia Day even though no one is really celebrating it........
