A Public Service Announcement for USM-ers.

Prologue: Revive, my blog, REVIVE! Sorry for my prolonged disappearance from the blogosphere. My last post was exactly half a month ago and now it's already the very last day of June! Oh dear. So where did I gone to anyway? As you know from my previous post, I played host for my West Malaysian guest which is my fellow SISTAH-HOOD for their graduation trip in the beloved hometown of mine, Kuching since Tuesday last week til yesterday, the day they board the jet plane heading back to their home sweet home. Lots of exploration around Kuching and its environ, going from one sightseeing spot to another and to top it off, I drove my own car, my old stead Proton Saga for all the trips for the past one week, cumulating more driving distance than my whole one month back in Kuching! Considering my rather lacking driving experience (as repeatingly commented by my co-driver, YenPheng who has to keep an eye on me for the past one week. Thank you for bearing it with me.) it was indeed a monumental achievement! No car accidents happen *thank goodness* (save for a window shade that were blown off somewhere along the road from Lundu when driving at 100km/h as well a plastic bumper liner/cover thing that were scratch off due to miscalculation of distance between my car door and the gate.) and everyone is still in one piece. My personal verdict for the execution of the whole trip in terms of time management and achieving target: 75%-80% only. To be frank, there are a few...circumstances which makes me somewhat unsatisfied, where things didn't go according to plan properly but you know what they say about Murphy's Law especially when it is about a bunch of young people! But nevertheless, we still manage to cover most of the things that has to be done in Kuching minus living in it and hence I thank everyone who gave their cooperation as well as bearing my...moments from time to time. Thank you all for the experience and I am glad and proud to play host for you all's stay here in Kuching. What a bountiful learning experience indeed~ With all the experience gathered from this first experience, it is guaranteed that I will be a greater, more wholesome Kuchingite host for anyone who wish to come to Kuching for a visit! Next time, I will be more ready than ever! More about the SISTAH-HOOD Kuching Getaway in future posts including whatever IKTIBARs that I learned from the execution of the trip which will be helpful for any prospective Kuching trips! Meanwhile, here's some public service announcement.

Attention fellow graduating USM-ers! After agonizing waits for the past two months, of guessing, speculation and anticipating and pondering: "When are we going to graduate anyway?"  the USM's 42nd Convocation Official Website has finally updated its key information that we all had been waiting for: the OFFICIAL date and session of the Convocation.

The refreshed USM's 42nd Convocation Official Website. Even though it is still not complete yet, but the key information that all of us cared the most which is the official date/session of convocation is now made available. Next information: the rehearsal of the actual event, the date and procedure as well as payment of obtaining our rented graduation robe and how to wear our graduation robe. Can't wait for it to be completely updated with other key informations!
And for fellow BATI-ans/Humanities as well as Fine Arts who will be bearing the title Bachelor of Arts or Sarjana Muda Sastera in BM, our session will be the 7th Convocation Session, Saturday 7 August 2010, 9am. Can't wait!
Now that the key information of our convocation is available, it's time to plan your own journey as well as your family/love ones for attending your convocation! Can't wait the day where everyone come together for one last time and throwing our mortar board into the air cheering!

Epilogue: Meanwhile, my Master's Application Status is still to date, In Review. With the convocation date finally out available, the wait for my Master's programme is getting even more agonizing than ever. JPA is currently on the prowl for me (and other JPA PIDN Scholars) and I have to report to them sooner than ever as time flies! Oh this is killing me!
