More random tidbits about my life. *dang, similar title again?*

Prologue: There is a virus lurking inside my laptop and I can't seems to stop it from spreading. Once in a while my antivirus window pops up saying that there is in infection. How am I gonna stop it!
Found this tucked right above my room's door handle yesterday. (Kinda wondered as well why they didn't tuck it under my door anyway?) Could it be...?

Yes, it is. I am back as a Pembimbing Pelajar Minggu Suaikenal (PPMS) for the coming orientation week! This also means that I will definitely stay back at USM for this year break. Hopefully I will not bored myself to death though before the training time comes.

For the last two weeks, all major newspapers covered the same event - the UMNO General Assembly and party election which was concluded yesterday and basically a whole new group of people was elected to leadership position. Not that I cared much anyway. But of all the passion of election and campaigning etc aside, there is one pic in te picture gallery covering this event over the Star that catches my eye. Apparently some people in Sarawak (which has no UMNO and most of the Peninsula BN parties, btw) wants to join UMNO. Be careful of what you wish for cos their arrival = what Sabah looks like now...a party so incongrous with local diversity and nuances. And you know, seriously if you want to do this, DON'T LET EL JEFE KNOW THIS. He might get jealous and take certain...action.

Saw this full page ad in The Star by the UK Border Agency, showing a group of Bobbies clamping down illegal immigration and workers over the dark alley of London. LOL its like a scene right out from a movie, complete with tagline that says: THE ODDS ARE DEFINITELY AGAINST YOU. So advices for people who wish to migrate to UK and start a new life: remember to get all the proper documentation right cos otherwise a group of Bobbies might come and stalk you right in front of your doorstep before deporting you back to where you came from.

Last Wednesday was the mini-convo. The reason for mini-convo is because it is made for Master's and Phd's as well as undergraduate student who extends, hence the number of receiving their scroll is much smaller and can be done within one day. Nevertheless, the crowd waiting for the graduate outside DTSP is still very large. This was taken at tent right beside DTSP for the waiting crowd. Was hoping to see Izzati but didn't manage to do so cos there is so many people and I got a class at 12 noon...

But because this is a convo which concentrates on postgraduate student (and there is a honorary doctorate recipient on that day as well), our Tuanku Chancellor Raja Perlis came over to USM himself to attend the ceremony. His Majesty's Maybach never cease to amaze me. And no carplate number, just a coat of arm of Perlis is enough!

Earth Hours is back and USM, being the APEX University and the leader in sustainability in higher education joined Earth Hours as well! This is the official USM's Earth Hour poster, complete with the eagle which was spotted making USM their home. USM were pretty proud to have migratory birds and other animals to make USM their own habitat cos it means that we are clean enough to host a habitat. For some reason though, our Earth Hours starts from 9pm to 10pm while the global Earth Hours starts on 8:30-9:30pm. Hmm, wonder why the half hour difference...

So, how to participate in Earth Hour? Easy, just switch off unneeded lighting for one hour!

I went down to cafe just to check whether other people are switched off their lights or not. Although most of the rooms in my block switched off their lights, some of them apparently didn't realised that we entered Earth Hour. Nevermind though, as long most of us switched off our light. I wonder whether there is a dip in electrical usage last night for USM...

Went to a vegetarian place at Sungai Dua near Tesco Extra with my coursemates, namely Brenda, YenPheng, MinWei, SzeSze and SheiHan. Brenda, who is a vegetarian drop by here almost everyday for her dinner so she is our guide for this trip. We went there a lil bit too early though (5am for dinner lmao!) and we waited and chit-chatted outside the shop for a while before the shops open. LOL I think the shopkeeper should have surprised that there is a small crowd of people waiting right in front of their shop.

Ordered their sizzling noodle thing. The portion is pretty LARGE and it was a hearty meal for me. Worth the RM 3.50!

As for drink I ordered fresh Chrysanthemum Tea.

Epilogue: There is at least 3 deadlines next week and I am still lenggang-ing and not doing anything. The moment of death inching closer than ever...at the very last week of the semester?! This is so wrong!!!!
