Back in Pearl Island.

Prologue: The big G-day on Saturday 7 August is inching closer and closer. More nervous than ever!

For those people who actually following my footstep, I am already back in Pearl Island and it is already the fourth night that I am Penang and plenty of stuff has already has already happened and hopefully will remain not too rough. So here's a few sneak peek of what had I done for the past four days in the form of pics.

31 July. Passed through this rather dreadful-as-time-goes Kuching International Airport airside. Went through this all too many times and begin to feel fed up with it...but unfortunately what has to be done still has to be done. Convocation and settling my Masters.

1st August. A view from Lawrence's flat. Cloudy sky it was. It feels good to actually see storm cloud at the ever burning Pearl Island, a relief from a Cat-izen who enjoys torrential downpour and chilly cold air whole day.

And of course one main reason I came back a week earlier from my actual convocation date is to pick up my Convocation Robe on my own. For some reason, each session can only pick up their robe on a specific date hence if you can't make it yourself, you HAVE to get a representative to pick it up for you. And one day will be handling two or three sessions of student. As you can see from here, it was quite a crowd. Anyway, manage to meet plenty of familiar faces back in BATI with everyone having their own plan for the future. What about my own then?

After picking up our robes, we meet up with Birdie Chuah BeeSze as well as ChanPao (these two who decided to ditch us and go student exchange hence had to extend for another semester to for a lil shopping before heading over to ChanPao's place for a lil hangout and reminiscence (even if only for about a month plus). Originally envisioned as a steamboat lunch, it somewhat end up as a just a small get-together hodge-podge, complete with a few food experiment. That bowl of noodle over there, that's Indomee mix with tuna in fresh water. Pretty nice combination actually as the flavour of indomee has been absorbed by the tuna itself making a unique flavor.

Another one of XinMi's food experimentation is with this Honeycomb smoothies, a high-carb, high fat, high sugar content drink which you leave your throat so dry that XinMi's voice were totally gone by the end of the day!

We ate sitting on small folded table on the ground. Feels like Japanese (me) and Korean (Birdie Chuah BZ).

To add to the cholesterol level is the hashbrown! All of us had 1.5 piece per person.

After we had our meal, we spent the whole evening playing Monopoly: World Edition *woot*. Instead of buying land, we are buying city! From the cheapest, Gdynia to the most expensive, Montreal, we were barganining hard in order to achieve Monopoly and start building houses to increase rent!
And the thing that player use is made of pure metal! Mine was sumo wrestler =.=\\\.

2 August. Went back to USM to enquire IPS about application stuff before heading to Queensbay lunch and a lil shopping. Original intention of this trip was for SzeSze to buy some craft making stuff over Popular. Little did we know that what will unfold later...Lunch at KimGary.

Queensbay Mall. As usual with the addition of Neway Kbox!

Walking, chatting, walking chatting, sight-seeing and such, finally it's dinner time.

SzeSze says that both of us are bad influences. Only reach home around 10++pm and only after we bought sushi and Guilinggao for supper and such.

3 August. PPIK Dean's list ceremony. One last Dean's List before graduating. And BATI is back on track after a lack lustre previous semester, producing 17 out of 50+ 'Undergrad Dean's List of PPIK. Main competitor: Geography, with 17 people as well. Besides that, Registration process went on smoothly and hopefully will be done by tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
And that's all for now. Stay tune for more blogpost especially as the G-Day approaches! Three more days to go yo! Can't wait to see all of us back together again for one last time before everyday heads off to the future!
