5th day into study week...

...and I cooked. No, it's not just that my brain was fried by the CMM221 book, but I really cooked something. You see, people, because I got bored by the same and repetitive meal every single day in campus (yes, I even got bored of outside food) I decided to get myself the all-famous staple food of all university student and family across the nusantara, Indomee!!!! *cue dramatic effect* So now I will teach how to cook a packet of Indomee: university student way step-by-step, complete with pictures!

First and foremost, go and get yourself the 5-in-1 packaging of Indomee, widely available from your mom and pop grocery store to hypermarket. I got mine, from Majujaya Ivory Plaza, right beside Khaleel.

Indomee comes in lots of different flavours and of course the choice of flavours depends on personal liking but for me, original flavour will never go wrong with anyone!

Tear open the packaging and there you have the seasoning powder sachet and soy sauce+chili+oil with fried onion bits sachet, the formula of creating the all-famous Original Indomee.
Break the dried noodle into half in order to fit it into the steel mug. And ohh, the large prison style steel mug is useful in all occasion, even in cooking instant noodle! Meanwhile, boil your water...

and then pour the boiled water into the steel mug...

...and let it stay for a couple of minute to let the noodle cooked properly.

...and make sure you check it from time to time before it becomes too soggy. This one is well done already...

...drain away the excess water. And again, the prison style steel mug with cap is very useful indeed cos I used the cap to hold back the noodle while draining away the excess water.

Noodle, with the water drained.

Add the seasoning sachet etc into the noodle and mix it up. Add in a little water if its too dry and sticky and the seasoning was a little hard to mix it up.

And VOILA! An Original Indomee, served right in the prison style steel mug! Itadakimasu~~

Gochisousama deshita! Right down to the very last bits!

Since Indomee can be taken in anytime you want, its satisfaction guaranteed. In fact, I got myself another pack of Indomee, this time Mee Goreng Spesial! More Indomee happiness!!!!

Indomee, saving every university's student pocket and stomach in Nusantara since early nineties with extra kick of flavours (MSG) and satisfaction!!!!

Edit: I come across this Indonesian Indomie 2008 ad in Youtube, they combined 6 regional language/dialect along with Bahasa Indonesia, showing that quoting from one of the comment, menunjukkan kemajmukan Bangsa Indonesia. One nation, one taste. (I do know Maggi something series of ad before, but we can have MOAR!!!) Here you goes the ad complete with the lyrics, thanks to another commenter.

Manado: Kitorang samua pe unik
Papua: Saya, ko deng dia tra sama
Batak: Bahat bahasa dohot adatta
Palembang: Mewarnoi negeri kito
Bali: Dados manten irage malenan
Jawa: Pareng mawon kito mboten sami Pancen leres kito benten
Indonesia: Tetapi satu hal kita sehati
Indomie... Indomie... pilihanku
Satu selera untuk semua

Epilogue: LOL sounds like an advertorial for Indomee. But the fandom of Indomee doesn't stop here, in fact there are Indomee fan group in facebook! Either way, the lingering boredom, repetitive brainstuck and maybe the extra MSG in Indomee had kicked in to write about this post. And, back to study!!! Haven't finish up the group discussion thingy on CMM221 which due saturday 6pm!!! Aiks!!! And ohh, McD with Mr. Harjiet at 3.

It rained when I woke up this morning. I wonder when the ray of hope will shine through the lingering cloud of fear and worries before everything ends...
