1st day in USM.......

• And so i arrived at my temporary hostel(for convenience during orientation week, most of us moved in as a temporary residence in hostel within the campus, only after that, we will move to the new hostel complex located outside but still integrally USM) , Cahaya Gemilang. Regisration into the new hostel takes place........and the queue is WTF long!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Waited hours just to get the key to my room!!!! Luckily the PPMS(Pembimbing Pelajar Minggu Suaikenal, translated as Orientation week student guardian/guide) was helpful and at least a calming factor when adapting to a new environment.
  
  My block is H23, which happen to be one of the OLDEST BLOCK IN UNI, THE VERY FIRST HOSTEL COMPLEX!!!!! Half wood half concrete!!!!(u can imagine how izzit looks like inside now) The size of the bathroom is tiny, matchbox with no room to turn around and some of the door can actually be removed!!!!! That's scary!!! And there is no TV in our living room so the Astro there serves no purpose other than pure decoration. LOL Other than this everything is functional except being.........antique. LOL
  
  And so i unpack(not much lar since i am a tempo resident) and went of to buy stuff needed such as soap, washing powder, clothes hanger etc etc at Tesco nearby. ITS HUGE!!!! Rows after rows of shelf with all sorts of merchandise(including their own namesake in-house brand). After getting my stuff, me, my dad and my cousin went back to the *crumbling* hostel. Saw my temporary roommate, a chinese guy from Perak a matriculation student, *quite silent as me*(Don't tell him!!!).
  
  Later, we went to the main hall, Dewan Tunku Syed Putra DTSP to listen to Deputy Vice Chancellor's speech(actually it should be Vice Chancellor but he is in Mexico....or izzit Bosnia? LOL) All the usual stuff ensues.(sleeping in hall while big people having speeches!!!) Then we went back to the hostel. The mattress are as old as it can be and so i am having an ichy sleep........(luckily i bring bedsheet, its a must anyway)
