And so i was taking the airasia flight departing on friday 29 of july, i know i am heading (with my dad coming along) to the pearl of orient, Penang. I departed with a divided heart, at one side i am happy cos i am getting the course that i dreamt of but on the other of course i face yet another uncertainties in my life. How my life will turn out? Will i manage to cope with the stress of uni education? and the blardy PTPTN is of course unsolved(until now, blardy shit!!!) The fact that i am leaving with no classmate or schoolmate(actually one only, but still) coming along is of course quite daunting already........
After 2 hours of flight(in a blardy old 737 of airasia, please change the plane now!!!!), i touced down at Penang International Airport(frankly, it is like expanded version of older kuching airport terminal), me and my dad was picked up by my cousin who works in Penang. Because i am not goin to USM directly, me and my dad stay over a night at Cititel Penang directly at downtown. After getting a bath, we go down to the street to find something to eat.(one thing i notice: 24 hours Nasi kandar shop!!!! LOL) We find a food centre just around the corner and i had my first taste of Penang char kuey tiao(mmm juicy prawn i tell u!!!)
Penang in some way quite similar to Kuching. Small road in the city centre, old shop, colonial building and of course, the presence of Hokkien ppl. The thing that Kuching don't have though is Tesco.(there are two here, Tesco and Tesco EXTRA LOL) My cousin help me to buy things needed such as pillow, pail, soap case etc etc(a big thanks to him) And so pretty much most of the thing is settled, just ready to move........
On the fateful day of 30th June, me and my dad gone to eat breakfast a a kopitiam around the corner. My dad gives me some genuine advice and tell me to call him if anything turns out since he is still around Penang(he has plan to visit his my uncles and aunts here) Thank you dad, your words has calm me down a lot.
At 8:00 in the morning, my cousin arrived and so i depart to USM........
*to be continued*
