USM: second day in Minggu SuaiKenal.....

Registration day as a student: TIRED!!!!!!

The new student is divided into two groups: K1 and K2. I am in K1 so we have the whole morning slot to register at Dewan Utama Pelajar, which is located.......on the other end at the back gate of the kampus!!!! Cahaya Gemilang is the furthest from there and we have to WALK!!!! I forgot how long is the distance already!!!!!

And we walk, on a long march to DUP, to get ourselves registered as a student. We need to check through the document, pass the Insurance form, alumni survey, matrix card slip and getting our health appointment for health check up. Luckily my queue for the document check is short. Why u say? Don't you know BATI(B. or arts Translation and Intepretation) has the third least student in all courses available!!!! LOL I also get my official Minggu Suaikenal Bag, Tie and a USB flashdrive which has cool design but SUCKY storage space(who uses 128 Mb today anyway??)

After that of course, we went back to our hostel, bathe and gather again at the field, this time to have the Hari Sambutan Siswa rehearsal(Inception Day). For the first time we sang the Uni anthem, Menara Ilmu and also Penang state anthem, Untuk Negeri Kita.(frankly i still can't sing the second verse of Menara Ilmu, pitch too high >.<, but i love Untuk Negeri kita!!)

After the rehearsal, we went back again(still walking), bathe again and getting ourselves ready for taklimat penggawa(hostel supervisor) at night. OK this is the time when times goes INTERESTING.......a few people voiced out their discontent VOCALLY about their hostel(understandable, they are living in the old block even though i am as well) That over rich, prissy Sibu guy even bring out the racial card(hate that) and he really make himself look stupid when he ask the penggawa to buy some long sleeves shirt for him since he don't have one. A few people also defend PPMS from the complainers which win some level of applause.

After the penggawa leave, our penghulu, a BIG(heart and body) guy is obviously pissed/hurt when a lot of people complained about their beloved hostel. They really have loyalty towards CG. He even threaten(indirectly) that he will let us on our own since we complained so much towards PPMS and obviously had discontent with his PPMS. Of course none of us say yes to that and so we have to listen to them......again......

and that goes another day.......
