So there was canary, who longs to go out from his cage.
But he can't.
His ever-present caretaker are caring but over-bearing.
His attention was always divided between his sibling canaries and his daily chores of taking care his own cage.
His wing wasn't strong enough.
His heart wasn't resolved.
Even when the cage is open almost all the time unlike not long before, he still stayed back in his little cage, retreating to his small space.
Whenever he look at his fellow canaries flying happily out in the open sky, he can't help but to let out a sorrowful sigh...
His fellow canaries occasionally flies over to his little cage, take him out of the cage and fly through the skies with them.
For a moment, he really felt a genuine happiness.
He do knew that canaries, cage in or not, still needs a company.
But whenever he sees his fellow canaries flying around the wide open sky, enjoyed themselves by savoring on the berries and socializing with each others on that huge tree, he again let out a sorrowful sigh.
"What about me?"
"Why you guys left me behind?"
He was occupied by the same dreading thought.
His song turns slow and melancholic.
For a while, his sky looks grey even when the sun shines brightly.

After a while, his melancholic song was finally heard...
His caring but overbearing caretaker responded by deliberately averting her usual over-bearing gaze over him for just a moment.
He took the cue and flown out of his cage with his younger brother canary, anxious to fly the sky.
He flies around cautiously, but the sky wasn't as calm as he think...
He lapses into a couple of mistakes, and his landing was off-centered.
His flying skills need to refined further but nevertheless, he glad he made it back to his cage safely...
And he brought back a little souvenir for himself as well.

He can't wait to make another solo flight again for the next day, when his fellow canaries finally noticed his absence and approached him for an outing.
At least for now, the lingering greyness of his sky had been replaced with more colors and he feel that he hope that he can add more into it...
*Edit: But not before long, he realized something...
He suddenly remembered that his caring but over-bearing caretaker decided that they will bring the canaries out to have a feast, for him as well as his younger brother canaries.
Then he was divided.
His caretakers had rarely splurge on luxury. They never like much about it anyway.
But once in a blue moon, they do it for the canaries.
So he had to made a decision.
And he made it.
He apologized to his fellow canaries for not being able to make it.
His heart was slightly aching for having to do this decision.
And the sky above him...turns into a paler hue...
Epilogue: So do you guys know what am I trying to express here? You will know most of it through all my recent plurks! And I bought myself a new headphones because the one that I have right now which was bought the previous semester was spoiled at one side, ruining the sound experience.
And I hope I can be less melancholic...but there are so many circumstances in life right now that tend to push me back into melancholy, leaving me in despair. The suffocating pain in chest and the lingering negativeness...I wonder how long will I stand before I finally succumb to depression...and definitely, it is not good. *Emo-ness is in hanging low...*
