But seriously, that digital cam of mine really eats up battery fast! Its not making my pic spam any easier...
Today, all of us (namely Owen, BeiShan, JouHui, SanHui and YangLip and joined by SunNee) decided that we have laksa *Sarawak* (I am STRESSING IT!!!!) as breakfast at Carpenter Street before we head over to St. Thomas to pay our beloved alma-mater a visit. After me not ready when Owen reach my house and initial confusion of who's picking up who (TaukeLip woke up late...AGAIN) , we reached our destination: Carpenter Street!!!! *WARNING mass pic spam ahead*

ShangTi Temple (上帝庙) near the end of Carpenter Street exiting beside Post Office. Actually, there are a couple more temples along Carpenter Street (including one on top of a building) reflecting the cultural heritage of the pioneers inhabiting the area during Kuching's earlier days.

And across ShangTi Temple is the Chinese Opera stage...which is use as hawker centre and function as one of the popular breakfast place for locals. This place, however is not our destination. Our destination is a couple shops down the street.
The gateway to Carpenter Street, (otherwise known as 亚答街 in Mandarin) which was built a couple of years ago. The ornate details on the gateway is a nice addition to Carpenter Street.
Another shot towards the other end...and look at the tight meander road.
And here it is, MinHeng Kopitiam. This is their plaque inside their shop still retaining its own traditional look.
An large, old iron save near the counter, remnant of the time back then...
No spitting, please.
The main character of the our breakfast of course is: Sarawak Laksa, complete with belacan and sliced tamarind!!!! Its look nice, taste HEAVENLY!!!!
A typical Sarawakian breakfast will definitely not be complete without guggling down a cup/glass of Teh-C. Most like it hot, but I like mind cool...Teh-C-Peng it is!!!!
This is Owen, taking the picture of my laksa...and me taking him taking pictures of my bowl of laksa LOLX. BTW, I must give my DEEPEST GRATITUDE to him for willing to come all the way over to Kota Sentosa to pick me up, hang out together and sent be back home safely. I SALUTE YOU, OWEN!!!!! Let us hang out more together!!!!
That's JouHui, ready to chow down her laksa. She added a dollop of belacan into her laksa and enjoyed it very much. Me, unfortunately can't exactly take much spiciness had to stay away from that way of enjoying laksa... (btw, the following picture of her chowing the beehoon is available over at my Flickr, which she vehemently objects in making public. *She is so gonna kill me ROFLMAO*)
And yours truly, ME, ready to chow down a spoonful. Thanks to JouHui for taking this pic for me. (and the following picture of me NOM-ing the beehoon is available at my Flickr as well, just to be fair to JouHui.) Owen, me and JouHui reached there first so we started eating first. But instead, we spend the first 5 minutes camwhoring about our own bowl of laksa LOLX!!!!!!
And soon to join us is BeiShan (right) and Sunnee (left), also looking ready to feast on the heavenly laksa...
...and THE REIGNING 38-QUEEN, SanHui, nom-ing her laksa. (I think she is gonna nag about this photo as well *hiakz*)
SanHui and JouHui, with SanHui *gracefully* sharing some of her laksa with JouHui citing that she can't take this much of food. Authenticity of this fact: Questionable.
And last but not least, our most respected and revered tauke of all tauke, superstar Chua Yang Lip!!!! Due to his special status of being uber-superstar, he choose to be seated on a exclusive seat, away from commoners like the rest of us.
A special close up of TaukeLip.
I am glad and honoured to took picture with TaukeLip!!!!! *must treasure this pic carefully*
Whats left on our table. Scrumptious breakfast indeed-y!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually there are three stalls here, from the left are the laksa stall, kolo mee stall in middle (blocked by that blue-shirt passerby *ish*) and Mee Jawa stall. A broad range of customer (Chinese, Malay, Bumi etc) caters this kopitiam in my personal observation, reflecting the unique diversity of Kuching and Sarawak.
Now that we are done with our breakfast, lets go on to our next destination: St. Thomas School we go!!!!!! *to be continued in the next post...*
Epilogue: I need my own camera. And I want more outing. And I want to settle my FXXKING driver's license thing ASAP!!!! *Everytime i think about my driver's license, I get depressed, SERIOUSLY.
