Right after we had our scrumptious laksa breakfast, we immediately head off to our beloved alma-mater which is St. Thomas Secondary School Kuching. It has been quite a while since all of us came back here, reminiscing the bitter(studies)sweet(friendship) Form Six years ( We are the 2005/2006 batch!!!) as well as giving our teacher a visit to keep them updated about us. And of course with such picturesque school full of memories, pic spam is DEFINITELY a must!!!!!! Without further a due, lets take a pictorial tour around my school!!!!!

The Principal House which houses the principal and vice principals' office, general office as well as Student Counselor's Office. This pic was taken right after we parked our car right outside. JouHui need to drop by the office to pick up her STPM certs.

The grand staircase that leads down the hill from the Old block. The old block is the first building in St. Thom and still gracefully standing, housing classroom on groundfloor as well as library and chapel/music room on the 2nd floor and the attic.
The monument erected in 1998 celebrating 150 years of history, when our founder's set light on McDougall's hill...

And here I am bumped into Ced (YAY!!!!) who were having mid-terms right now. And I did bump into Tay going out as well while I am busy taking pictures of the old block. And あ、僕が男性学生制服を着ているCedric-君を萌え!!!!

Ahh, forgot what's the name of this block already and it houses classroom and Husain Paris BM room.

Centenary Block, which houses all the thing you can see on the plaque.

That's Puan Hasnah, our Pengajian Am plus form teacher, covering herself with files while I snoop around and take photos. Cikgu, janganlah malu~~~. The U6s1-ian on that day(which is me, SanHui and JouHui) chatted quite a lot with her, keep her up to date about us...and the 38-Queen and Sleeping Beauty teamed up to comment my huge tummy=good life in Penang. (OIIII!!!!) And it goes when I finish up Pn. Hasnah's cookies. *so embarassing!!!*

This is Madam Sim our Biology teacher, busy marking the Form Six bio papers. Since she is from UM where JouHui is in right now, she talked about the food that is always nice in the 4th residential college as well as talking about how blessed we were where everyone has the chance to enter university, unlike what was it like back then. All of us was laughing coyly since we manage to pull ourselves through Form Six and enter uni despite our mediocre result.

This is the cutesy mousy paperweight on Mr. Choo, our chemistry teacher's table. He was kinda busy going in and out of the staffroom so we didn't manage to catch a photo of him.

And this is another cutesy mini-ceiling fan above Mr. Choo's table. Really suits his personality!!!!

YangLip bought a copy of The Square, St. Thomas School newsletter. And you can see from the headline gracing the front page, St. Thomas is 160 years old this year (2008) and goes on forever...
While the U6s2-ians keep on chatting with their teachers, we the U6s1-ians sneak off on our own and embarked on camwhoring trip around the school compound. This picture was taken while we are on the staircase leading up to the old block after we bought ourselves boxed drink as refreshments. As you can see from the seeming unpreparedness for posing, this is a candid shot. LOL their boxed drinks.

Feel free to ignore the two sky-gazer over there and enjoy the beautiful, lush greenery of St. Thomas and the old block.

This is me taking pictures of the mirror available along the corridors of the Old Block...and the two busybodies popped up over there. And JouHui, stop pointing at my tummy!!!!

Central courtyard in front of the Centenary Block. And look at how lush the greenery is!!!!!

The Science Lab Block, with the biology lab on the top floor and the chemistry lab on the second floor.

Next will be the school hall, officially named James Wong Kim Min Hall. Looking at the huge school logo, we will Aim Higher, always.
And so we take turn to take photo with the stage and the logo. JouHui and SanHui...
...and yours truly, ME. AGAIN.

The trophy cabinet at the back of the hall, showcasing all the accolade and award that we got from way back then until now. Looks like SanHui is introducing the trophy as well. And WE ARE THE CHAMPION!!!!!

Me and JouHui...going wacky with all the trophy...it was all her idea!!! BTW, all the portrait hanging up there is all the Bishops of St. Thomas since back then since they are the head of School advisory board from the very start, reflecting the heritage of St. Thomas as a missionary school. And apparently, we have a new bishop. (the color portrait on the right)

...and me doing WACKY again.

Later when we exited the hall, we decided that we must take at least one group photo with all of us in. So we asked the student from the evening session waiting over there to took our picture.

The new science decor besides the classroom: Ecological Footprint...and it is colorful, JouHui wan a pic of this as well.

SanHui's gate (according to her)...because back then she always kena Demerit for being late here.

Another gate...and I think that prefect over there over heard my rambling while I am taking this picture. "THIS IS THE GATE THAT PREFECT ALWAYS TAHAN ME AND GAVE ME DEMERIT!!!!", I said.

Miss Bella Chan and her fellow student, SanHui. Wait a sec, WE DIDN'T TOOK PHYSIC BACK IN FORM SIX! LOLX! anyway, this pic was taken in our class...now its U6s4 though...

...and Miss Bella Chan teach us how to draw doodle. This is her impression of SanHui.

Yours truly, ME AGAIN, sitting approximately the position of my seat in my class back then.

And later we went around to search for the U6s2-ers when we bump into Pn. Hasnah, who were just finished teaching Pengajian Am at U6A1. After much pledging, she finally agrees to took a pic with us. (Terima Kasih, Cikgu!!!) And so we head over to the garden tables under the tree in front of the old blocks. Thanks to Sunnee who volunteered to took pictures of us.

Me, SanHui, Pn Hasnah and JouHui: U6s1-ers 2005/2006. WE ROXX FOREVER!!!!!!

A very good shot of our old block by Sunnee, with BeiShan over there posing while walking over to join us. Actually do you know that there is a spiral staircase in the left tower?

After we bid farewell to all of our teacher back in school, we head over to Star Cinema for movie and we settled for The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian around 2:15 in the evening. Anyway, the balcony of Star Cineplex provide among the best view of Kuching Waterfront and of course, a chance for more picture is definitely cannot be missed!!!! Across the river a top of a hill is the still-in-construction new State Assembly Building, with their roof and spire inspired by the traditional Baruk house of Bidayuh.

The State Assembly building across the river and the tree-lined Waterfront as well as the old shop lots lining along the street. And as you can see, there is a HUGE construction going on over there.

Fort Margherita, located on top of a hill over looking the Sarawak river was build and named for the wife of the second Rajah of Sarawak, Charles Brooke, a majestic remnant of the Brooke era. Actually, there are people who still fondly miss the era of White Rajah. That building far behind it is the Wisma Bapa Malaysia, housing various state ministries and department.

The commercial core of Kuching with hotels, office building and shopping centres. From the left is Riverbank Suite, Hilton Kuching, Tun Jugah (the small office tower in the middle), Wisma Ting Pek Khiing (with the prime address of 1, Padungan Road) and the Somerset Gateway apartment and Suite at the far right. And the temple down there is the century old Tua Pek Khong Temple (大伯公庙) currently undergoing the well needed renovation and face lifting.
Well, that's pretty much all of it cos after we head back home straight after movie. Hanging out with friends is definitely the best thing that I ever done since I came back home for holidays. (Actually I went out a couple of times already, the only thing is I did not took pictures of it!!! Finally I camwhored!!!!)
I will definitely miss all of you and Kuching SOOOOOOO MUCH when I head back to USM earlier for PPMS...All the memories that we had together will be cherished by me forever!!!! Friends FOREVER people!!!!!
Epilogue: Hmm...Flickr seems to be quite convenient for photos indeed...and I seriously need a digital camera which I can call my own before I head back for PPMS. The PPMS experience should be a special one and that means more photo for my blog!!!!! Huzzah!!!!!
